Vacuumforming or thermoforming is an efficient and cost-effective process of forming a sheet of plastic over a mold using heat and suction. Sounds simple, but there are design limitations in material types and mold configurations.

Mr. Plastics has an in-house mold-making shop and also stores molds for many companies' products. Molds are made of machined aluminum, cast aluminum, composites and sometimes wood.

We have manufactured products for hundreds of companies and specialize in short runs. Mr. Plastics manufactures many stock and custom items for our PlasticWorks division.

Our on-site thermoforming machine can accommodate sheet sizes up to 48" square, with material thicknesses from .015" up to about .5" depending on material type and draw (how deep the part is). We also handle special materials and packaging.

Mr. Plastics works closely with several highly-specialized companies to prototype new products.

Contact Mr. Plastics today to explore how we can help find solutions for your design and manufacturing challenges.
