We offer FULL LENGTHS or CUT-TO-SIZE pieces

Plastic rod is available in diameters from 1/8" to over 12" and varies in length depending on the material type. Mr. Plastics sells plastic rod products produced by Roechling Engineered Plastics, Ensinger, Quandrant, Cast Nylon, Nylatech, FuturPlast, Townsend/Poly One and several other industry leading manufacturers.

Educational Tip:
Acrylic rod is manufactured in two ways. It can either be cast (formed in a mold) or extruded (squeezed through a die). Cast rod has a higher molecular density which makes it more rigid and easier to machine. Extruded rod tends to be more flexible and often lacks the pristine surface finish of cast material. Often times you can see small striations running the length of extruded material which are created during the extruding process. Due to finish quality and manufacturing differences, Extruded rod tends to be less costly than Cast rod. Both are available in a wide variety of colors and forms (circular, triangular, square, etc.).

When you call to order, it will help if we have:
  • the type of material (if you know)
  • color or colors
  • diameter
  • lengths
  • quantity
  • any special finishing you need

Please tell us more about your project or use so we can be more helpful!

If you don't know exactly what you want, we can help with that too.

If you need help designing something, our Design Services department can assist.
